Data Engineer

Data Engineer | £500 - £600 p/day | Contract (Inside IR35) | 6+ Months | Manchester (Hybrid) Our client is looking for a talented Data Engineer to help design, build and maintain reliable, scalable data pipelines that power analytics, reporting and operational insights. What you'll do: • Design and maintain robust data pipelines integrating data from operational systems, APIs and third-party platforms • Build batch and near-real-time ingestion processes with strong monitoring, logging and error handling • Develop and maintain data models to support reporting and analytics • Manage workflow orchestration and scheduling (e.g. Airflow or similar) • Support CI/CD, version control and deployments across dev, test and production environments • Implement data quality checks, governance and documentation • Collaborate with analysts, architects and technology teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions What we're looking for: • Strong experience building data pipelines in modern data platforms • Solid data modelling knowledge • Experience with orchestration and scheduling tools • Strong SQL and Python skills • Experience with Azure data technologies (Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory) • Understanding of data quality, reliability and CI/CD practices If this sounds like you, apply now!
