Role description
An exciting opportunity for a Data Engineer (GCP) to join a fast-growing business in London is looking for a hands-on engineer to support and evolve their data platform.
• Based in London
• 2 days a week in the office
• 3 months initially
• Start date: ASAP
• Up to £375 per day Outside Ir35
The Job
As the Data Engineer (GCP), your responsibilities will include:
• Managing and optimising data pipelines and workflows within Google Cloud Platform
• Working extensively with BigQuery to process large-scale datasets
• Integrating and managing data from Google Analytics and Google Ad Manager
• Supporting reporting and dashboarding across the business (currently using Domo)
• Handling both BAU data operations and project-based delivery
• Contributing to rebuilding parts of the data stack and improving automation
• Supporting wider business teams including Finance and Ad Ops with data needs
• Driving efficiencies and improvements, including AI-driven processes
You
• Strong hands-on experience with GCP, particularly BigQuery
• Proven ability to build and manage scalable data pipelines and data flows
• Experience working with Google Analytics and marketing/ad data sources
• Comfortable supporting reporting and dashboarding tools
• Able to work in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment
• Strong prioritisation skills across BAU and project work
• Experience in media, publishing, or direct-to-consumer environments is highly beneficial
