Job Description:
Design, develop, and optimize enterprise-scale data products and distributed data pipelines that power analytics, reporting, and AI-driven initiatives. Collaborate with product owners, analysts, and engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-performing data solutions using modern cloud technologies.
This role supports a fast-paced engineering organization focused on modernizing data platforms, enabling business insights, and delivering high-quality data products. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with Databricks, Spark, Python, Snowflake, and SQL, along with a strong understanding of cloud data architecture and Agile development practices.
Job Functions:
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and enterprise data products.
• Build distributed data processing solutions using Databricks, Spark, Python, SQL, and Snowflake.
• Collaborate with product owners, data analysts, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable cloud-based data platforms.
• Develop reusable libraries, utilities, frameworks, and user-defined functions to improve engineering efficiency.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies, frameworks, and best practices for high-volume data processing.
• Build automated unit tests, support integration testing, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and optimize data pipeline performance.
• Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable solutions.
• Support AI initiatives and contribute to the development of new data capabilities and products.
Skills/Abilities:
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Extensive experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, and Snowflake.
• Experience building and maintaining cloud-based data platforms.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and distributed data processing.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline (required).
• 8–10+ years of experience in data engineering or related technical roles.
• 5+ years of experience working with large-scale data platforms and big data technologies.
• Prior experience with this organization is required.
• Experience supporting AI initiatives is highly preferred.
• AWS and Databricks certifications are a plus.
• Finance domain experience and familiarity with BI/analytics tools are nice to have.
