Role description
Data Engineer (Level 2/3) – Data, APIs, and Cloud
Location: Newark, NJ 07102 (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
Payrate: $65/hr - $75/hr on W2
ELIGIBILITY: US Citizen and Green Card (Only W2 no C2C)
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and backend systems.
• Implement and optimize solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Purview.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs for data exchange across platforms.
• Develop and deploy cloud-based solutions using AWS services (Lambda, S3, Glue, Redshift, etc.).
• Ensure data quality, performance, and scalability of backend services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven initiatives.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement activities.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
