Role description
Data Engineer (Level 2/3) β Data, APIs, and Cloud
Location: Newark, NJ 07102 (Hybrid β 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
Payrate: $65/hr - $75/hr on W2
ELIGIBILITY: US Citizen and Green Card (Only W2 no C2C)
Duties and Responsibilities:
β’ Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and backend systems.
β’ Implement and optimize solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Purview.
β’ Build and integrate RESTful APIs for data exchange across platforms.
β’ Develop and deploy cloud-based solutions using AWS services (Lambda, S3, Glue, Redshift, etc.).
β’ Ensure data quality, performance, and scalability of backend services.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven initiatives.
β’ Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement activities.
β’ Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
