Data Engineer

Duration: 6 Month Contract to Hire Location: Remote Compensation: $60-$65/hr on W2 Data Engineer (Snowflake) We're partnering with a growing organization looking to add a Data Engineer to support a critical initiative focused on sales compensation and commission data. This role will be responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines that deliver accurate sales data to downstream compensation systems, including SAP Callidus. This is an exciting opportunity to work with modern cloud data technologies while helping shape the future direction of the company's data platform. What You'll Do • Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Matillion to ingest data from CRM, ERP, billing, and other business systems • Develop and optimize data models in Snowflake to support sales performance and compensation reporting • Prepare and transform datasets used for commission calculations, incentive plans, and sales analytics • Ensure data quality, integrity, and accuracy across all compensation-related data flows • Create and manage integrations and outbound data feeds for downstream systems, including SAP Callidus • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize pipeline and query performance What We're Looking For • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake • Experience building and supporting data pipelines using Matillion or similar ETL/ELT platforms • Advanced SQL and data warehousing experience • Experience working with sales, revenue, finance, or compensation-related datasets • Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions • Experience integrating data between enterprise applications and reporting platforms Preferred Qualifications • Experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) for data transformation and modeling • Experience supporting or participating in migrations from traditional ETL tools to Snowflake-native and dbt-based architectures • Experience with SAP Callidus, Xactly, CaptivateIQ, or other Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) platforms • Familiarity with Snowflake Cortex and AI-driven data workflows • Experience working with sales compensation, commissions, or revenue operations teams Why Join? • High-impact role supporting business-critical compensation and sales reporting processes • Opportunity to influence the team's evolution from a Matillion-based environment toward a modern Snowflake + dbt architecture • Work with cloud-native data technologies in a collaborative and growing team
