Overview:
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is seeking a skilled Data Engineer with strong experience in Snowflake and cloud infrastructure support. This is a W-2 only, 6-month on-site contract role based in Waltham, MA, with a focus on supporting critical applications in the Life Sciences/Pharma domain. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in Azure cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and application monitoring.
Responsibilities:
• Deploy and support Azure Virtual Machines (VMs) for enterprise applications.
• Set up and manage monitoring and alerting systems within Azure.
• Write and manage infrastructure code using Terraform for automated deployments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployment and configuration management.
• Provide hands-on application support hosted on Azure VMs.
• Monitor system performance and manage incidents related to application uptime and stability.
• Leverage Snowflake for data engineering tasks and collaborate with stakeholders on data pipeline optimization.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Minimum 9 years of IT experience, with a strong background in data engineering.
• Proven hands-on experience with Snowflake in production environments.
• Expertise in Azure VM deployment, monitoring, and alerting.
• Strong scripting experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline deployment and maintenance.
• Experience in application monitoring and incident management on Azure.
• Prior experience working in the Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical industry is required.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
