Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in Greenwood Village, CO that is seeking an experienced SQL ETL Developer to support large-scale data transformation initiatives within a video-focused data environment. This role is heavily SQL-driven and centered on transforming high-volume datasets rather than traditional database design. The ideal candidate is adaptable, comfortable shifting between priorities, and thrives in fast-moving, production-focused environments. Responsibilities:
β’ Design, develop, and maintain complex ETL transformations using advanced SQL
β’ Process and transform large-scale datasets (millions of rows) efficiently and reliably
β’ Build and optimize SQL-based data transformations leveraging CTEs and window functions
β’ Develop and support Spark and PySpark-based data processing jobs
β’ Support and enhance data pipelines running in an AWS-based environment
β’ Work with SQL-driven Spark workloads to process and transform large datasets
β’ Utilize template-based shell and Python scripts to support ETL workflows
β’ Collaborate across distributed teams to support evolving data needs and priorities
β’ Troubleshoot performance and data quality issues across ETL processes
Requirements
β’ Strong, hands-on experience with advanced SQL, including CTEs and window functions
β’ Proven experience working with large datasets at scale
β’ Experience performing ETL transformations in production environments
β’ Hands-on experience with Spark and PySpark for large-scale data processing
β’ Familiarity with AWS data services, particularly Athena and/or EMR
β’ Ability to work in an agile environment with shifting priorities and multiple workstreams
Preferred Skills
β’ Python scripting experience beyond ETL processing
β’ Shell scripting experience
β’ Experience working with distributed data processing frameworks
β’ Exposure to AWS analytics and big data services
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
