Data Engineer

An innovative organisation in the public healthcare sector is looking for a Data Engineer. You will join a digital screening programme, contributing to the development of data dashboards and reporting products for a new digital service. You will build and maintain data pipelines that ingest, transform, and prepare data for reporting within an Agile multidisciplinary team. What You'll Be Doing • Building and maintaining data pipelines that ingest, transform, and prepare data for reporting. • Developing ETL processes using PySpark and modern platform tooling. • Ensuring data quality, reliability, and performance across all reporting pipelines. • Supporting the testing and validation of dashboards and their underlying datasets. • Collaborating within an Agile team alongside Data Scientists, Analysts, and UCD professionals. What We're Looking For • Strong experience in data pipeline engineering, ETL development, and PySpark. • Experience with data platforms and products used within large-scale public sector environments. • Proficiency in modern engineering practices including DevSecOps, TDD, and CI/CD. • Proven ability to work independently and proactively in Agile delivery teams. • Strong communication skills and the ability to follow collaborative coding standards.
