Data Engineer

Position: Data Engineer Compensation: $ 65 - 75 /hour, depending on experience Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Data Engineer to join their team! This is a strong opportunity to step into a high-impact data role supporting operational intelligence, reporting, and analytics for a complex environment. You’ll help build and modernize data pipelines, data models, and reporting layers that turn large, messy operational datasets into trusted insights leaders can act on. If you enjoy solving complex data challenges, improving data quality, and creating tools that make a real business difference, this role offers excellent visibility and variety. Key Responsibilities & Duties: • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytical tables • Transform complex operational data into reliable business insights • Support dashboards, reports, and analytical tools in Power BI • Integrate data from multiple business and operational systems • Validate data quality and reconcile conflicting source systems • Document data flows, business rules, and source-to-target logic • Troubleshoot production issues and support ongoing user needs • Partner with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions • Help modernize legacy data platforms and reporting processes Required Qualifications & Experience: • Experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role • Strong SQL skills and experience optimizing queries • Hands-on experience with ETL or ELT development • Background supporting dashboards, reports, or analytical datasets • Experience working with large, complex, operational data sources • Ability to troubleshoot data issues and document findings clearly • Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical teams • Experience collaborating across business and technology groups Nice to Have Skills & Experience: • Power BI experience • Experience with geospatial or device hierarchy reporting • Knowledge of utility operations or reliability metrics • Familiarity with GIS, OMS, smart meter, or SCADA data • Experience with cloud or hybrid data architectures • Background in data governance or architecture documentation • Experience supporting production analytics environments Perks & Benefits: • 3 different medical health insurance plans, dental, and vision insurance • Voluntary, Short-term and Long-term disability insurance • Paid time off, 401k, and holiday pay • Weekly direct deposit or pay card deposit Other Information: • Collaborative environment with strong stakeholder engagement • Opportunity to work with modern and legacy data systems • Contract role with high visibility and meaningful business impact • Parking is included for contractors • Flexible schedule and hours If you are interested in learning more about the Data Engineer opportunity, please submit your resume for consideration.
