Role description
We are working with a leading consultancy that is expanding its data engineering capability to support the delivery of a large-scale cloud data platform. This organisation is at the forefront of designing and developing modern data solutions capable of handling complex, high-volume datasets for central government projects.
The Role
• Design and develop cutting-edge data solutions for complex, high-volume datasets
• Join a multidisciplinary team to evolve a cloud-based data platform
• Shape data collection, processing, governance, and consumption strategies
• Contribute to architectural decisions and engineering best practices
• Process complex location-based datasets
What You'll Need
• Strong commercial experience delivering data engineering solutions in Azure
• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and Spark-based technologies
• Experience with geospatial, mapping, or location intelligence datasets
• Central UK government experience within the last 5 years
• Strong Python and SQL development skills
• Familiarity with modern cloud data platform patterns, architectures, automated data pipelines, and CI/CD practices
