Role description
Job Title: Backend Data Integration Engineer (Java/Python – Marketing & Analytics Data)
Location: Remote across US and Canada
Core Focus:
A Backend Engineer who designs server-side integrations, manages data pipelines, and connects mobile + web tracking data to analytics, marketing, and CDP systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build APIs and backend integrations using Python and Java.
• Implement server-side tagging and event forwarding (GA4 Measurement Protocol, Meta Conversions API, Google Ads Enhanced Conversions).
• Create ETL pipelines to process data from mobile and web apps into analytics and marketing systems.
• Work with SQL and cloud data stores for event schema design and identity resolution.
• Integrate Segment, Braze, and AppsFlyer with backend systems.
• Ensure privacy compliance and secure handling of PII/hashes.

• Backend & APIs: Node.js or Python for server-side integrations
• Data & ETL: SQL, Python scripting, event schema design
• Identity & Privacy: GA4 user\_id, hashed PII, CMP tools (Osano, Consent Mode v2)
• Integration Tools: Segment, Braze, AppsFlyer dashboards, CDP APIs
