Role description
Akkodis is hiring an Data Engineer for a 12-month contract role in Philadelphia, PA on a hybrid basis. We are seeking a strong Data Engineer with hands-on Vertica SQL optimization, MicroStrategy reporting/development experience, large-scale data pipeline expertise, and strong cloud-based BI/reporting background using tools like Tableau or Looker.
Pay Range: $50.00/hour - $60.00/hour on W2 without benefits (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Schedule - Hybrid (3days onsite / 2days remote)
Key Responsibilities:
· Write and tune SQL queries on Vertica.
· Work with large datasets.
· Employ MicroStrategy basics (e.g., attributes, facts, hierarchies).
· Translate complex technical outputs into simple, meaningful visuals and summaries.
· Optimize MicroStrategy reports for performance and scalability.
· Create data pipeline using cloud platforms.
Experience in any or all of the following:
· Reporting (e.g., Tableau, Looker)
· Vertica client tools (SQL Workbench, DBeaver, vsql, etc.)
· MicroStrategy Developer
· MicroStrategy Web
· MicroStrategy Workstation
