Role description
REQUIRED SKILLS/Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in computer science, data or social science, operations research, statistics, applied mathematics, econometrics, or a related quantitative field AND 4+ years of experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling and/or data engineering work OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Math, or Software is acceptable.
β’ 5+ years of programming experience with command in at least two languages: SQL (required), Python (required), Java, R, or Spark.
β’ Expert proficiency in SQL; experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
β’ 4+ years of experience working with Databricks (or similar platform) within the BI/Analytics space such as Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Data Explorer, Cosmos, App Insights, Power BI, and Databricks.
β’ Hands-on experience leading or supporting SAS-to-Databricks conversion or migration projects, including refactoring legacy data pipelines, translating SAS models or scripts, and optimizing data architecture for modern cloud-native environments.
β’ 3+ years of experience in the areas of Graph databases, Big Data, or Hyper Scale products in Azure.
β’ Experience using Git, or a comparable code repository.
β’ Must be motivated, self-driven, curious, and creative.
β’ Must be a skilled communicator, and demonstrate an ability to work with end users and business leaders.
β’ Demonstrate the ability to support and complement the work of a diverse development and/or operations team.
β’ Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional team; active participation in sprint reviews.
β’ Expert knowledge and a minimum of four yearsβ experience in the following domains: Data management, software engineering, and infrastructure & operations (I&O).
The projected hourly range for this position is $75.00 to $80.00.
