πŸš€ Data Engineer (Contract-to-Hire) | Microsoft Fabric Focus We are seeking a Data Engineer to join a growing IT team focused on building modern, scalable data platforms within a Microsoft ecosystem. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity for someone passionate about data, innovation, and emerging technologiesβ€”especially Microsoft Fabric. πŸ” What You’ll Do β€’ Design, build, and maintain modern data platforms (data lakes, warehouses, lakehouses) β€’ Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, Python, and Spark β€’ Integrate data from multiple sources including SQL Server, Azure SQL, APIs, and flat files β€’ Create and maintain dimensional data models to support analytics and reporting β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams across ERP, CRM, WMS, and custom applications β€’ Enable advanced analytics and AI/ML through scalable data solutions β€’ Establish and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and governance practices β€’ Implement data security (access control, encryption, auditing) β€’ Participate in on-call support rotation for production systems β€’ Stay current on industry trends and introduce innovative solutions 🧠 What We’re Looking For β€’ 3-5+ years of experience in data engineering or related field β€’ Strong experience with: β€’ Python & SQL β€’ Azure Data Factory β€’ Azure Synapse Analytics β€’ Spark / PySpark β€’ Databricks β€’ Experience working within the Microsoft ecosystem β€’ Experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Dataflows) preferred but not a must - Opportunity to work with and help shape the adoption of Microsoft Fabric as part of a modern, evolving data platform. β€’ Experience integrating with systems like Dynamics 365, CRM, WMS, or similar β€’ Strong understanding of data modeling (Kimball methodology preferred) β€’ Passion for learning, innovation, and emerging technologies β€’ Ability to collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders 🌟 What Makes This Opportunity Unique β€’ Opportunity to work with and help shape adoption of Microsoft Fabric β€’ High-impact role with visibility across the business β€’ Blend of hands-on engineering and architectural influence β€’ Collaborative, growth-oriented team environment β€’ Clear path to full-time conversion
