Data Engineer

Sr Data Engineer Cincinnati, OH - Onsite Contract An IBM DataStage ETL Developer on this project will work as part of an agile development team and be involved in the design, build, unit testing, and deployment of ETL jobs and sequences built using the IBM DataStage tool. These ETL jobs support pulling client source data into a data warehouse to support report development. • Identify and independently complete project tasks • Identify key drivers of a defined, straightforward problem and propose solutions using analysis, and decision-making tools. • Develop solutions to client problems through application of methods and tools; validate solutions to subject matter experts • Demonstrate accountability and contribute to the successful realization of client goals Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience • Must have 6+ years of experience working within Data Warehouse environments • 4+ years of experience with IBM DataStage • 2+ years with Power Shell Scripting experience • Experience writing SQL queries • Experience with data warehouse integrations and designing dimensional data models • Must be able to maintain an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) in support of business intelligence analytics Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Snowflake, and/or Big Data and Cloud technologies. • Experience in consulting and/or industry experience • Aptitude for trouble-shooting and problem-solving in an IT environment. • Strong technical skills including understanding of software development principle
