Role description
Job Summary Our client is seeking aΒ Data Engineer III to join a growing data engineering team supporting enterprise data platforms, analytics initiatives, and modernization efforts. This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, building robust data solutions using Databricks and Apache Spark, and supporting large-scale data processing environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Data Engineering, Databricks, Spark, Python, and SQL, along with expertise in building enterprise-grade data architectures and optimizing large-scale data processing systems. This role requires collaboration with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions that support data-driven decision making. Core Responsibilities β€’ Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows β€’ Build and optimize data architectures using Databricks and Apache Spark β€’ Develop and maintain data models supporting analytics and reporting initiatives β€’ Ensure data quality, integrity, performance, and reliability across enterprise platforms β€’ Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions β€’ Implement best practices for testing, monitoring, documentation, and data governance β€’ Optimize large-scale data processing using distributed computing frameworks β€’ Support cloud-based data platforms and modernization initiatives β€’ Troubleshoot and resolve complex production data issues β€’ Support enterprise data warehousing and data integration efforts β€’ Participate in platform optimization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves) β€’ 7+ years of Data Engineering experience β€’ Strong expertise with SQL, Python, Apache Spark, and Databricks β€’ Experience building and optimizing large-scale data processing systems β€’ Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling β€’ Experience working with both structured and unstructured data β€’ Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills β€’ Excellent communication and collaboration abilities β€’ Experience supporting enterprise-level data platforms and environments Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves) β€’ Experience with Git and Jenkins for version control and CI/CD β€’ Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) β€’ Experience with Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) β€’ Experience with Teradata or other enterprise data platforms β€’ Experience working within Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud environments β€’ Experience supporting platform modernization and cloud migration initiatives β€’ Experience working in large enterprise environments Key Competencies & Behaviors β€’ Ownership and Accountability β€’ Collaboration and Partnership β€’ Analytical Problem Solving Work Environment β€’ Location:Β St. Louis, MO β€’ Local candidates only β€’ Hybrid β€’ Collaborative, fast-paced environment focused on innovation and data-driven decision making Compensation & Benefits β€’ Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $55.00 and $63.00.
