Role description
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong MongoDB Atlas and Azure data engineering experience to support government clients. This role is heavily focused on NoSQL data storage, indexing, and performance optimization within MongoDB, along with building ETL pipelines in Azure.
Responsibilities
• Design, store, and optimize data in MongoDB Atlas, including indexing and performance tuning
• Build and maintain ETL pipelines using Azure data engineering tools
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for data workflows
• Support data governance, access controls, and compliance requirements
• Collaborate on data migrations, including Oracle Exadata
Requirements
• 4+ years of data engineering experience
• Strong MongoDB / NoSQL expertise with a focus on data storage and indexing
• Experience with Azure data engineering tools (Databricks, Data Factory, Data Lake, SQL)
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working with government or regulated environments
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
Nice to Have
• Oracle / Oracle Exadata experience
• Big data technologies
