Role description
• Design, develop, and optimize large relational database systems supporting data storage, retrieval, and analytics needs.
• Build and maintain ETL pipelines to integrate new systems with existing data warehouse environments.
• Improve database performance through tuning, system refinement, and efficient query optimization.
• Implement and uphold database security controls to safeguard data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance.
• Conduct regular data validation, quality checks, and reliability assessments across datasets.
• Leverage 6–9 years of experience in Python and data engineering to support development and data transformation efforts.
• Apply deep capital markets expertise, including securities and commodities trading data and order management systems.
• Configure or implement trade surveillance platforms such as NICE Actimize, Nasdaq SMARTS, or Trading Hub; experience with Java engineering is also required.
