Senior Data Engineer – Legal & Privacy Infrastructure Overview: We’re seeking an experienced Data Engineer to strengthen our Legal Infrastructure initiatives, focusing on data governance, compliance, and privacy protection. The ideal candidate will design and maintain complex data pipelines, alerting systems, and data warehouses that support legal and privacy-related operations across the organization. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Pipeline Development: Build, optimize, and maintain high-complexity ETL pipelines using SQL and Python (DataSwarm, Airflow, etc.) to manage large-scale datasets securely. β€’ Monitoring & Alerts: Develop monitoring and alerting systems that identify and flag issues such as unauthorized data modifications or potential privacy risks. β€’ Legal Collaboration: Partner closely with attorneys and legal data scientists to determine data requirements, ensure timely access to critical datasets, and maintain compliance with data-handling policies. β€’ Cross-Functional Work: Collaborate with multiple teams to implement new legal and privacy systems, coordinate documentation, manage project timelines, and ensure successful delivery. β€’ Data Security & Privacy: Uphold strong privacy, data security, and compliance standards, ensuring that all engineering practices align with legal requirements and information governance policies. Required Skills: β€’ Proven expertise in SQL and Python for pipeline and workflow development. β€’ Hands-on experience building end-to-end ETL pipelines and data warehousing systems. β€’ Strong understanding of data privacy principles and secure data management. β€’ Excellent communication and collaboration skills to navigate cross-functional environments.
