Data Engineer in Detroit, MI/ Charlotte, NC Onsite About the Role: You are a problem solver with a passion for addressing complex data challenges and improving data quality at the enterprise level. You bring deep expertise in data engineering principles and have a track record of architecting scalable, high-performance data solutions. You excel in designing and implementing robust data management processes and frameworks. You are proficient in deploying advanced data quality protocols using SQL, ETL tools, and cloud-native technologies. You mentor junior engineers and contribute to the evolution of data engineering best practices across the organization. Responsibilities: β€’ Lead the design and development of scalable data pipelines and integrations across ERP, CRM, and data warehouse platforms. β€’ Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and business partners to align data engineering efforts with strategic data initiatives. β€’ Architect and implement data engineering applications that support enterprise data domains with high reliability and performance. β€’ Define and enforce data cleansing, transformation, and standardization protocols to ensure consistent data quality across systems. β€’ Solve complex data issues and guide data stewards and business users in resolution strategies. β€’ Evaluate and recommend new tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance the data engineering ecosystem. Qualifications: β€’ Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience). β€’ 9+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, including leadership in development or implementation projects. Required Skills: β€’ Advanced SQL skills for data modeling, analysis, and optimization. β€’ Expertise with ETL/ELT tools such as Databricks, Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or Azure Data Factory. β€’ Strong understanding of APIs, integration patterns, and cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform). β€’ Experience mentoring team members and contributing to technical strategy.
