Role description
Data Engineer Long-term Contract Hybrid Preferred (Jacksonville, FL) The Data Engineer will be responsible for driving high value use cases related to data lifecycle management including but not limited to ingestion, contextualization, feature engineering, and solution operationalization within our leading global pharmaceutical client's Commercial Operations organization. Responsibilities: • Aid in development of and prototype solutions at an accelerated pace for business priorities within our Data and Analytics self-service tech stack. • Support data engineering work stream to accelerate leveraging contact lens category within our operation. • Support Data Scientists and Analysts by delivering preprocessed and curated, analysis-ready data sets from disparate data sources. • Identify and resolve quality issues during complex data migration and transformation. • Writing queries / coding real-time, fast deployment within sandbox environment Qualifications: Required: • A Bachelor's degree is required (Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, Engineering, with an Information Technology focus or related field). • Cloud-based data warehousing experience (e.g., AWS Redshift and S3, Azure, GCP). • Experience with industrial visualization packages (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). • Experience with backend ETL job development using SQL or other scripting languages like Python. • Working knowledge of data lifecycle management around data ingestion, data contextualization, data insights, and analytics is required. • Strong verbal, written, and influence skills with the ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
