Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance Pay Rate: $35.00 - $40.00/hour - Determined based on experience (Paid Weekly) Work Model: Remote Note: This is a W2 only role — C2C, C2H will not be considered Summary of the Role: BEPC is seeking a highly motivated Data Engineering Architect to join our client’s site in Raritan, NJ. This role will support the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-scale data platforms on Microsoft Azure. This role will define data architecture standards, drive cloud data strategy, and enable advanced analytics, AI, and business intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in Azure data services, strong architectural vision, and the ability to deliver measurable business impact through scalable and secure data solutions. Summary of Duties and Responsibilities: • Design and implement end-to-end data architectures on Azure, including data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time processing systems. • Architect and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure services such as Data Factory, Synapse, and Microsoft Fabric. • Define and enforce data governance, security, and compliance frameworks across the data ecosystem. • Lead the integration of data from multiple sources (ERP, APIs, IoT, databases) into unified data platforms. • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions aligned with business goals. • Evaluate and recommend Azure-native and third-party tools to enhance performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. • Drive adoption of modern data practices, including real-time analytics, streaming, and AI/ML integration. • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering teams. • Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of data systems. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field. • 7+ years of experience in data engineering, with 2+ years in a data architecture or leadership role. • Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure data services, including: • Azure Data Factory • Azure Synapse Analytics • Azure Data Lake Storage • Microsoft Fabric • Azure Databricks • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python. • Experience with data modeling techniques (star schema, Data Vault, normalized models). • Strong understanding of distributed systems and big data processing. • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in data environments. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with real-time data streaming (Azure Event Hubs, Kafka). • Knowledge of Power BI or enterprise BI tools. • Familiarity with machine learning pipelines and MLOps. • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect).
