Role description
Position: Data Governance

Job Description:
As a Data Governance, you will be a part of an Agile team to build healthcare applications and implement new features while adhering to the best coding development standards.
Responsibilities: -
• The resources will either: Directly support Data Governance activities associated with the client effort, including governance implementation, stewardship engagement, metadata management, data quality oversight, and governance process adoption for affiliated data assets and business domains; or Backfill existing Enterprise Data Governance consultants who are being assigned to client affiliation activities, ensuring continuity of governance services across existing Cambia business domains, data products, and strategic initiatives.
• Day-to-Day Activities Support Data Governance activities required for the North Dakota affiliation integration effort, including onboarding of affiliated data assets, stewardship alignment, metadata documentation, and governance process adoption.
• Facilitate meetings with business stakeholders, data stewards, domain champions, and technical teams to implement Data Governance practices. Support standard data governance process for the client.
• Coordinate Data Domain and Process Steward engagement activities.
• Create and maintain business metadata, glossary terms, data definitions, and governance documentation within Collibra.
• Assist with governance assessments and implementation activities for new and existing data assets.
• Support data quality monitoring adoption, issue management processes, and governance controls.
• Partner with Data Product and business teams to promote compliance with Enterprise Data Governance policies and standards.
• Track governance deliverables and coordinate activities across multiple initiatives, including affiliation-related workstreams.
• Produce governance artifacts, status reporting, executive presentations, and project documentation.
• Support training, workshops, and governance enablement activities.
Mandatory skills
• Experience implementing or supporting Data Governance programs.
• Experience facilitating meetings and driving cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
• Strong business analysis, documentation, and requirements gathering skills.
• Experience working with metadata, data cataloging, data stewardship, or data management initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good to have skills: -
• Healthcare industry experience.
• Experience with Collibra or similar Data Governance platforms.
• Familiarity with data quality management practices.
• Experience supporting enterprise data catalog, business glossary, metadata, or stewardship initiatives. Exposure to data architecture, analytics, or data platform environments.
