Role description
A leading enterprise organization is seeking an Information Security Governance Analyst to support governance, risk, compliance, and data protection initiatives across a highly regulated environment. This role will work closely with cybersecurity, privacy, legal, compliance, risk, and technology teams to help strengthen governance processes, support regulatory requirements, and improve enterprise security controls. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working across multiple governance and security disciplines while helping drive operational maturity and risk management initiatives. What You'll Tackle: • Support the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of information security governance programs. • Assist with implementation and operationalization of security and data protection requirements. • Partner with cybersecurity, privacy, legal, compliance, risk, and technology teams on governance initiatives. • Support risk assessments, control reviews, and governance validation activities. • Participate in audit, regulatory, and assurance engagements. • Develop governance reporting, metrics, dashboards, and executive-facing documentation. • Assist with policy, standards, and procedure lifecycle management. • Help ensure governance controls align with enterprise risk management objectives and regulatory expectations. • Translate security policies and requirements into operational controls and business processes. • Support ongoing security awareness, governance communications, and process improvement initiatives. What You Bring: • Experience supporting information security governance, risk management, cybersecurity, data governance, or related programs. • Experience working within regulated industries. • Knowledge of data protection concepts including classification, encryption, data handling, and information lifecycle management. • Experience supporting governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures. • Familiarity with risk assessments, audit support, compliance activities, and control validation. • Understanding of enterprise security controls and identity and access management concepts. • Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills. • Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Nice to Have: • Experience supporting insider risk, information protection, or data governance programs. • Exposure to privacy, compliance, or enterprise risk management initiatives. • Experience with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) platforms. • Professional certifications related to security, governance, risk, or compliance. • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and industry best practices. • Experience supporting enterprise-scale governance programs.
