Role description
We have a contract opportunity with one of our major clients. They are looking for Data Governance Analyst for one of their important projects.
Position: Data Governance Analyst (Only Local Candidates)
Location: Topeka, KS, 66607
Duration: 6 Month Contract with potential to convert or extend
Only W2 candidates
Required Skills:
β’ Data Governance.
β’ Process development.
β’ Building from ground up.
β’ Project mgmt.
Responsibilities:
β’ The Data Governance Program Manager is responsible for ensuring data accuracy, quality and compliance to prevent potential risks associated with inaccurate or mishandled data.
β’ This role involves working closely with a community of data-quality stewards to coordinate data, analytics and AI stewardship activities for consistency and leverage.
β’ This role also plays a role in managing data- related AI risks (such as those pertaining to categorization, classification, access and privacy) and collaborates with colleagues such as department interns, Agency ISOs, business/IT leadership, and the Chief Privacy Officer to promote data integrity and data security within the organization
Skills required:
β’ Basic understanding of data governance principles or operational exposure to data governance processes, frameworks and best practices.
β’ Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills; strong business acumen is required.
β’ Ability to effectively influence and drive change in a complex organizational environment.
β’ Ability to apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience required:
β’ Experience in D&A governance, data management, or related roles, where direct and ongoing engagement with business stakeholders was part of the remit.
β’ Alternatively, experience in a business role, such as finance, operations or risk, where direct and ongoing engagement with data and technology stakeholders was part of the remit, is required.
β’ Demonstrated experience enabling data-driven decision making at a senior leadership level, including communicating and addressing complex business challenges to shape organizational strategy
Education Required:
β’ A bachelor's degree in information management, business administration or related field
