Role description
We are seeking an experienced Data Governance & Data Readiness Analyst to support a government agency in evaluating organizational data readiness, data governance, and data quality.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience conducting assessments for public-sector organizations, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory reporting requirements, and documenting the handling of sensitive and regulated data.
This role will partner with business stakeholders, data owners, compliance teams, and technical staff to assess current data practices, identify gaps, and recommend improvements that strengthen governance, data quality, and regulatory compliance.
Required Experience:
• 3+ years of recent experience conducting data readiness, data governance, or data quality assessments for a government agency, including compliance with statutory or regulatory data reporting requirements.
• 3+ years of recent experience handling sensitive public-sector data (PII, CJI, PHI), including data classification, access/role mapping, audit logging, and documentation of data handling processes.
