Role description
As the Data Governance Analyst, you will be responsible for the following: Responsibilities: β€’ Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures. β€’ Monitor data quality and identify improvement opportunities. β€’ Collaborate with data owners and stewards to uphold data standards. β€’ Create and maintain data dictionaries and metadata repositories. β€’ Support compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and resolve data-related issues. β€’ Respond to requests for assistance related to internally developed SQL processes. β€’ Troubleshoot data-related questions by reviewing SQL procedures and identifying optimizations or advising processes from internal app development. β€’ Collect and document requirements on Data development initiatives from business stakeholders. β€’ Collaborate with Business Intelligence and Data Engineering team to write SQL queries for ad-hoc inquiries or integration into store procedures. β€’ Customarily and regularly identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets. β€’ Utilizes version control tools to maintain a structured and organized workflow; collaborates with the development team and follows best practices to ensure proper documentation, testing, and deployment. β€’ Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications β€’ 5+ years of Data Governance Analyst with SQL programming, database systems, and Data analysis work experience. β€’ Experience working in SOX and PCI/PII environments β€’ Highly organized individual with excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills, and ability to work collaboratively with various cross- functional teams. β€’ Computer / Technical Skills: β€’ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, and Excel. β€’ Experience working with Databricks, AWS S3, Azure β€’ T-SQL Programming β€’ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience in a related field required.
