Job Title: Data Governance Engineer Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid 3 Days Onsite) Duration: Long-Term Contract Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Data Governance Engineer with 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Governance, or related fields. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS, Python, ETL/ELT, Data Quality, Security, and Governance Frameworks. This role focuses on building secure, scalable, and reliable data governance solutions while improving enterprise data quality, compliance, and accessibility. Required Experience • 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Governance, or related fields • Hands-on experience with Data Quality and Governance solutions • Strong AWS cloud experience • Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Must-Have Skills • AWS Glue • AWS Lambda • Amazon S3 • Amazon Athena • AWS Step Functions • Amazon Redshift • Python • ETL/ELT Pipelines • Apache Airflow • Data Governance • Data Quality • Data Stewardship • Data Security • Data Masking & De-identification • Data Lineage • API Integration • Cloud Data Integration • Agile/Scrum Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Data Governance solutions. • Build and support API integrations with AWS services. • Develop data quality frameworks and governance solutions. • Establish and maintain enterprise data governance standards, policies, and procedures. • Support data stewardship and governance initiatives across business teams. • Implement data security, masking, and de-identification solutions. • Manage data validation, automated testing, and quality monitoring. • Maintain data lineage and metadata management. • Support compliance, governance audits, and regulatory requirements. • Develop scalable cloud-based data integration solutions. • Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors. • Troubleshoot data governance and data quality issues. • Support enterprise-wide data management initiatives. • Work closely with Agile teams to deliver scalable data solutions.
