Role description
We are seeking an experienced Data Governance / Data Quality to lead the design, implementation, and management of enterprise-wide data governance and data quality frameworks. This role will partner with business and technology teams to drive data standards, establish governance policies, and ensure high-quality, reliable, and trusted data across the organization
Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive data governance framework by defining data standards, policies, and ownership structures, ensuring data quality, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements, managing metadata and data lifecycle practices, mitigating data-related risks, and promoting organization-wide adoption through training and cross-functional collaboration.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to document and verify data quality standards, perform regular compliance checks, resolve data quality issues, and contribute to the development of new standards and best practices.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
5+ years of hands-on experience in data management, governance, and analytics
Experience managing Data Governance Committees/Councils to implement organization-wide data strategies (preferred)
Experience managing data integration across multiple systems and evaluating the integrity of relationships between datasets
Strong knowledge of SQL and proficiency with a data visualization tool (preferably Power BI) to support team members translating business requirements into actionable insights
Experience in data modeling, transformation, and visualization
Familiarity with ETL processes and automated data pipelines
Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise technical teams, including goal setting, performance management, and professional development
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a balance of big-picture strategy and attention to detail
