Job Title : Data Governance & Metadata Analyst Location : Remote Duration : 10 Months Education : High School Diploma Shift Details : Days Shift Specific Skills : • Metadata & Documentation • Translate complex technical metadata, data lineage, and reporting logic into clear, business-friendly language. • Document data assets, transformations, data rules, and quality checks within the enterprise data catalog. • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness of metadata across core data domains (e.g., patient, provider). • Define and maintain documentation standards required for data certification. • Data Governance & Compliance • Support enterprise data governance initiatives by maintaining transparent and compliant data documentation. • Identify documentation gaps and partner with technical and business teams to remediate issues. • Develop and maintain data policies related to restricted data, PHI, and PII. • Support data retention policies in alignment with enterprise standards. • Collaboration & Reporting • Partner with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to document core and semantic data tables. • Collaborate with analytics teams to define, link, and rationalize enterprise metrics. • Assist in remediating or retiring metrics lacking ownership or governance. Develop artifacts that make data initiatives understandable for both technical and business audiences General Description: • We are seeking an experienced Data Governance & Metadata Analyst to support enterprise-wide data governance and reporting initiatives. This role will serve as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating complex metadata, reporting logic, and data governance concepts into clear, business-friendly documentation within the enterprise data catalog. The ideal candidate has strong experience in metadata management, data documentation, healthcare data environments, and enjoys working cross-functionally to improve data transparency, quality, and compliance.
