Role description
Title: Data Governance and Quality SAP Data Analyst
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 – 12+ Months
Key Responsibilities:
Data Profiling: Conduct comprehensive data profiling to assess data quality, consistency, and completeness within the SAP environment. Identify patterns, outliers, and anomalies to ensure data accuracy.
Data Quality Management: Develop and implement data quality rules, perform validation checks, and recommend solutions to address data issues.
Data Governance: Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data governance standards are maintained, and provide guidance on data management best practices.
Data Migration and Integration: Support data migration efforts within SAP by ensuring clean and structured data, assist in data mapping, and help integrate data from various sources.
Data Reporting and Analytics: Develop and maintain data reports and dashboards for key performance indicators (KPIs) related to data quality and system performance.
Collaboration with SAP Functional Teams: Work closely with SAP functional teams (e.g., SAP MM, SD, FICO, etc.) to identify data issues and provide data-driven solutions.
Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute to process improvement initiatives related to SAP data management, and identify opportunities to enhance data accuracy and system performance.
Documentation and Training: Document data profiling methodologies, rules, and procedures; assist in the creation of training materials for other teams on data management processes.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 6-9 years of experience in SAP data management, with a focus on data profiling and data quality.
Strong knowledge of SAP modules (e.g., SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, etc.) and related data management processes.
Hands-on experience with data profiling tools and techniques, such as SAP Data Services, Informatica, or other data quality tools.
Familiarity with data integration, migration, and transformation processes within SAP environments.
Solid understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with technical and business teams.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with SAP S/4HANA is a plus.
Certification in SAP Data Management or related SAP certifications.
Experience with scripting or automation tools to enhance data management processes.
Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
