Role description
Lucid Services Group is seeking a Data Governance Manager to lead the design and implementation of enterprise data governance frameworks for both internal initiatives and client engagements. This role will establish standards, policies, and controls to ensure data quality, integrity, security, and compliance across complex environments.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge with business acumen and excels at driving alignment across stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Framework Development
• Design and implement scalable data governance frameworks, operating models, and policies
• Establish data ownership, stewardship, and accountability structures
• Define enterprise data standards, taxonomy, and metadata management practices
Data Quality & Compliance
• Develop and monitor data quality metrics and KPIs
• Implement processes for issue identification, remediation, and continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA where applicable)
Governance Operations
• Lead governance councils and stakeholder working groups
• Develop documentation, training materials, and change management plans
• Evaluate and implement data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica, Microsoft Purview)
Collaboration & Advisory
• Partner with data engineering, analytics, security, and business teams
• Provide governance advisory services to client engagements
• Translate business needs into governance controls and processes
Qualifications
Required
• 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or related field
• Strong understanding of data lifecycle management and master data management (MDM)
• Experience implementing data quality frameworks
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Preferred
• Experience in consulting or professional services
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Experience with governance/catalog tools (Collibra, Alation, Purview, etc.)
• DAMA-DMBOK or similar certification
