Data Insights and MI Senior Analyst (12 Months FTC)
Contract Type: Fixed Term | Full Time
Location: Bradford, London, Petersfield and Chatham
Working Pattern: Hybrid (usually 1 day a week in the office).

The Role
The Senior Data Insights and MI Analyst plays a pivotal role in driving data-led decision-making across Vanquis by leading the development and maintenance of insights reporting and legacy data marts. Working across all products and customer data domains, the role involves defining and delivering analytical projects, shaping data infrastructure to support reporting needs, and ensuring outputs align with governance and DevOps standards. You will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across Risk, Credit Management, Marketing, Business Change, BI/IT, and Finance, contributing to a high-performing team that values analytical thinking, a proactive mindset, and a strong understanding of consumer credit and corporate governance frameworks.
As a Data Insights & MI Senior Analyst, you will:
• Planning, developing, and delivering strategic, data-driven projects that translate complex analytics into actionable business insights.
• Managing and evolving legacy data marts, ensuring they remain aligned with changing business needs through timely updates and enhancements.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather, define, and refine data requirements that support critical business and finance processes, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
• Shaping the data infrastructure landscape by defining robust requirements that enable scalable, reliable, and insightful reporting capabilities.
• Producing and delivering regular insight reports that adhere to governance standards and embrace DevOps principles—ensuring consistency, quality, and continuous improvement in development practices
What We’re Looking For
• 3+ years coding experience, SAS and SQL is essential
• Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve complex challenges through strategic thinking and data-informed decision-making.
• 3+ years reporting systems experience, Power BI is highly beneficial
• Proven capacity to work independently with objectivity and sound judgment, consistently delivering high-quality outcomes with minimal supervision.
• Experience of data, reporting & analytics within a Credit Risk or Financial Services environment is essential
