Data Lead | Digitisation Programme – Hertfordshire (Contract - Outside IR35) Location: Hemel Hempstead (Hybrid) Marks Sattin are partnered with a large global enterprise embarking on a major Digitisation Programme, seeking a hands‑on, data leader to drive the Data Workstream from the front. The Role As Data Lead, you’ll sit within the Enterprise Data Group and own the end‑to‑end data agenda for a programme implementing a new Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and establishing the structured data foundations needed for improved laboratory efficiency, regulatory integrity and future digital product innovation. You’ll operate across data architecture, governance, operations and digital product teams to ensure laboratory data is understood, structured and analytics‑ready. Key Responsibilities • Lead data discovery across all laboratory systems, mapping sources, formats and storage locations • Build a clear data inventory and integration view, assessing data quality, duplication and ingestion methods • Define the current‑state data architecture and specify required fields, attributes and validation rules • Shape the data cleansing, migration and rationalisation approach for LIMS enablement • Translate digital product concepts into structured data requirements, datasets and analytical needs • Own the Data Workstream plan, milestones and deliverables, managing risks and issues Skills Needed • Strong background leading enterprise data initiatives or workstreams • Deep understanding of structured and unstructured data environments • Experience defining data requirements for major system implementations • Comfortable working within regulated or compliance‑driven environments • Excellent stakeholder management across technical and operational teams • Exposure to LIMS or lab/testing/certification environments If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply with your CV or get in touch for a confidential discussion.
