Our client has an immediate need for a Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Analyst, who will be responsible for monitoring, investigating, and refining DLP rules while ensuring alignment with security policies and compliance requirements.
Must-Have Technical Skills (4+ years):
• Hands-on experience with Data Loss Protection (DLP) solutions (Symantec DLP or equivalent)
• Strong background in Information Security principles, policies, and best practices
• Experience with project management in security-related initiatives
• Ability to interpret and tune DLP rules, policies, and incident workflows
Flex Skills (Nice to Have):
• Knowledge of data networking fundamentals and protocols
• Exposure to forensics and incident response methodologies
Responsibilities:
• Perform rule and policy tuning in DLP platforms to reduce false positives and optimize detection accuracy
• Monitor and manage the DLP incident queue, investigating alerts and escalating issues when necessary
• Collaborate with internal security, compliance, and business teams to ensure DLP policies align with organizational objectives
• Document findings, create incident reports, and support root cause analysis of security events
• Assist with DLP technology upgrades, deployments, and configurations to improve coverage and effectiveness
• Provide recommendations for improving DLP workflows and incident handling processes
• Support project management tasks, including planning, tracking, and reporting on DLP-related initiatives
• Maintain awareness of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and trends related to data security
