Data Manager London | Full-Time | Hybrid Working | 12 month FTC A leading global law firm is seeking an experienced Data Manager to join its London office. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a high-performing, collaborative team. The successful candidate will lead and support a team of data professionals responsible for maintaining and enhancing the quality of organisational data. The team provides support across multiple business functions and plays a critical role in ensuring that key data is accurate, consistent, and maintained to a high standard. The Role You will play a key role in strengthening data governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting internal stakeholders across both technical and non-technical teams. Key responsibilities include:
Supervising a team of Data Stewards, including the day to day workload and ensuring the team is meeting service level commitments.
Supporting and enhancing data governance and data management frameworks.
Promoting data quality standards and best practice across the organisation.
Ensuring alignment with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR).
Working closely with stakeholders to improve processes and systems.
Assisting with compliance and practice management systems.
Conducting research and presenting findings clearly and concisely.
Supporting change initiatives related to data and information management.
About You
A confident communicator with strong organisational skills and a genuine interest in data governance and quality.
Proven experience in data governance, data management, or information governance roles.
Excellent IT and administrative skills.
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
Experience working in a professional services.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to adapt to new systems, processes, and technologies.
Relevant certifications e.g. DAMA, CDMP (desirable)
