Data Migration Developer (W2 Contract)

The TRANSACT Data Migration developer to build and execute ETL processes for data migration between R11 and R25 systems. The role involves writing Pick Basic / Java migration scripts, validating data accuracy and resolving technical issues to ensure smooth conversion into the target system. Uses ETL tools and scripts to extract data from R11 legacy system. • Transforms the extracted data into the required format and loads the transformed data into the new R22/25 system. • Conducts rigorous unit testing to validate data accuracy and completeness. • Performs reconciliation testing to identify and resolve any data discrepancy or errors. • Collaborates with business analysts and product owners to formulate requirements into designs and solutions, fix programs, execute migrations and validate accuracy. • Documents new or changed software solutions in source, confluence/JIRA, where appropriate • Communicates progress/issues to line management. • Performs Unit testing and supports SIT/UAT team during testing and preparation of Rollout. • Participates in daily stand-up meetings • Resource has strong programming skills in R11 and R22 – Can demonstrate knowledge as a programmer in Temenos environment. Mandatory proficiency: in JBASE/Pickbasic for R11 developments, and TA/Java/Pickbasic for R22 developments • Resource has strong knowledge on all the legacy modules migrated from R11 (AA,AC,Securities, LD,LI,CO,PD,MM,FT,FX,LC,MD,DX) • Has excellent understanding of Temenos Studio, TAFJ and Oracle databases • Has experience with Bitbucket and DesignStudio tools. • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. • Works detail-oriented and has an analytical mindset and critical thinking • Understands the software development life cycle process and delivers • Exposure to Agile development methodologies is a plus
