Job Description:
• Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Migration Engineer to support a SQL migration project on the Connected Delivery Platform Team.
• This platform powers the discovery, download, and installation of all company products, services, and third-party applications.
• In this role, your primary responsibility is to migrate data from a legacy system to the Next-Gen platform, leveraging AWS tools—especially AWS DMS—to move data across SQL and NoSQL databases. This is a focused, time-boxed migration project with no extension.
Key Responsibilities:
• Migrate data from MongoDB to PostgreSQL
• Migrate data from MySQL to PostgreSQL
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries
• Build test scripts to validate data migration using languages such as Node.js or Python
• Support scripting and automation efforts for AWS DMS-based data migration
• Collaborate with the platform engineering team to ensure accurate and secure data transfer
Minimum Qualifications:
• 7+ years of experience developing scalable, distributed applications
• Proven experience with SQL, AWS, and NoSQL technologies
• Strong proficiency in writing advanced SQL queries
• Experience with programming languages such as Node.js
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (AWS DMS strongly preferred)
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs using Microservices architecture
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field (required)
• Master’s degree (preferred)
