Role description
Data Modeller – Investment Banking Locations: London / Glasgow | Start Date: June | Contract through End of Year We are currently supporting a leading Investment Banking client in response to a strategic programme focused on accelerating adoption of an Enterprise Data Platform (EDP). This initiative aims to enable trusted, discoverable, and reusable data products to support analytics, regulatory reporting, and AI-driven use cases. As part of this programme, we are seeking Data Modellers to support delivery within IB CDAO-governed data modelling squads, with a specific focus on data design and modelling activities. Key Responsibilities • Deliver logical data models and associated design artefacts across approximately 75 foundational data products, spanning 22 subject areas and aligned to authoritative data sources • Ensure alignment with enterprise data models, business glossaries, and taxonomy standards • Develop and maintain reusable modelling patterns, standards, and artefacts • Manage outputs within a centralised data modelling repository • Facilitate SME workshops to capture and validate business and data requirements • Collaborate within cross-functional, domain-based delivery squads, including product owners, engineers, and data specialists Candidate Profile • Experience in data modelling within an Investment Banking or capital markets environment • Demonstrated understanding of data modelling methodologies, design principles, and governance frameworks • Experience working with enterprise data standards and structured data environments • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills Location: London or Glasgow, with an expectation of regular on-site presence Engagement duration: June start through to year-end. Scope: Data modelling and design only (no engineering or technology build responsibilities) This represents an opportunity to contribute to a high-profile enterprise data transformation programme within Investment Banking, working alongside experienced teams in a structured and collaborative environment. Contracts can be outside IR35 and required hybrid working with office location either London or Glasgow.
