The Ash Group is hiring a Data Modeler for our client, a global leader providing advanced systems and support in defense, aerospace, and security. This is a 12-month contract working in Sterling Heights, MI (Onsite) offering a pay rate of $60 per hour based on skillset.
Role Details
β’ Compensation: Up to $60/hr W2
β’ Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, and direct primary care benefits. After six months of employment, enjoy a 4% matched 401(k) plan with immediate 100% vesting.
β’ Duration: 12-month contract
β’ Location: Sterling Heights, MI (Onsite)
What Youβll Be Doing
β’ Design and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models to represent organizational data accurately.
β’ Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, developers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure models meet business and technical needs.
β’ Maintain a central data dictionary, enforce data standards, and ensure compliance with data governance policies.
β’ Optimize performance of data infrastructure by tuning data models for efficiency, reduce redundancy, optimize reusability at the right levels and improve database performance.
β’ Design solutions for integrating data across systems and perform reverse engineering of existing databases when necessary.
β’ Develop and maintain documentation, naming conventions, and coding standards to ensure consistency across data systems helping the business to define βwhat does good look like?β
What Weβre Looking For
β’ Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Data Management, Data Science, Math, Statistics or equivalent
β’ 6+ years of relevant experience:
β’ Be directly involved in developing data models and process flows as well as liaising with multiple
β’ Proficiency with AWS Medallion architecture including AWS Redshift
β’ Proficiency with dashboarding tools such as Power BI or Tableau
β’ Experience using entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs), dimensional modeling, normalization technique
β’ Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark
β’ 3+ years of relevant experience:
β’ Proficiency with data cataloguing tools such as Collibra
β’ Proficiency with data transformation tools such as Dataiku
