Role description
Role Title: Data Analyst & Modeller CDS - Teradata Platform Location: Glasgow Contract Duration: Till 31/12/2026 Days on site: 2- 3 in a week Daily Rate: £450/Day Inside Role Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst & Modeller to support immediate discovery and analysis activities within our data transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in data process evaluation, lineage tracing, usage analysis, and Teradata SQL interrogation. This role demands strong analytical thinking, technical proficiency, and the ability to synthesize complex data relationships with precision and clarity. Key Responsibilities • Conduct discovery analysis to evaluate existing data processes and structures. • Perform data lineage and usage analysis to support data mapping and design. • Interrogate data using Teradata SQL and BTEQ scripts to uncover insights and validate assumptions. • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into actionable models. • Document findings, data flows, and lineage with clarity and accuracy. • Support the development of data models that align with business and technical needs. • Identify and resolve data quality issues and inconsistencies. Required Skills & Qualifications • Proven experience in Teradata SQL and BTEQ interrogation. • Strong understanding of data lineage, data mapping, and data process evaluation. • Ability to quickly synthesize complex data relationships and present findings clearly. • Demonstrated critical thinking in data design and architecture. • Experience working in large-scale data environments and with cross-functional teams. • Excellent communication and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in financial services, consulting, or regulated industries. • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and metadata management tools. • Knowledge of other SQL dialects or data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Oracle, BigQuery).
