Job#: 3032344 Job Description: Senior Data Modeler Location: Salisbury, North Carolina (Remote) Employment Type: Contract Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Data Modeler to support a large data modernization initiative. This role is central to shaping and governing HR data models for enterprise analytics and reporting. The position involves collaboration with data engineering, analytics, and HR stakeholders to ensure HR data is well-defined, trusted, and accessible across the organization. This position is a mix of a new project and business-as-usual activities, with a focus on migrating to Unity Catalog. Key Responsibilities • Lead the design, evolution, and governance of enterprise-level HR data models. • Analyze and interpret HR data domains to identify, define, and standardize data elements. • Partner with cross-functional teams to structure HR data for reporting and analytics. • Support the organization’s migration to Unity Catalog, ensuring data models align with governance standards. • Design data models optimized for Power BI to enable scalable reporting. • Translate business and reporting needs into logical and physical data models. • Ensure data consistency, quality, and usability across platforms. • Serve as a subject matter expert for HR data modeling best practices. Required Qualifications Experience: 12+ years of experience as a Senior Data Modeler. Technical Skills: • A strong understanding of HR data, including the ability to identify and model it. • Hands-on experience with Unity Catalog, including participation in a migration. • Experience modeling data for Power BI. • Proven ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Strong communication skills to explain complex data concepts. Work Details This is a fully remote role requiring availability during Eastern Time hours (starting at 7:00 AM ET) to collaborate with European teams.
