Data Modeller – Market Reference Data, Modelling, SQL, Database, JSON/XML, Agile, Financial Services – Contract – Up to £750p.d Inside IR35
My client, a leading Financial Service Organisation are seeking an experienced Data Modeller to Join their Data and Analytics team on a 12 Month Contract basis.
You will identify data entities and model their relationships based on business context, processes, and existing source-to-target system mappings. You will also collaborate with subject matter experts and data architects to analyse data requirements and develop their Data Model, identifying key issues within the current architecture and recommending improvements. In addition, you will also be tasked to contribute to the physical implementation of data models, ensuring consistent and high-quality design, while also leading and supporting data governance activities such as model reviews and adherence to established standards and best practices.
Skills to be Successful
• Strong understanding of financial reference and/or market reference data within a financial Service environment.
• Solid data modelling skills, with clear knowledge of conceptual, logical, and physical modelling approaches.
• Deep understanding of database structures related to reference data and best practices for sourcing and capturing it.
• Proficiency in UML and ERD for logical data modelling.
• Strong working knowledge of RDBMS technologies and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with data modelling tools such as Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect, Erwin, or ER Studio.
• Knowledge of JSON and/or XML data formats.
• Strong Stakeholder management skills
