Role description
Position: Financial Data Privacy Analyst Type: Contract Compensation: $35 - $70/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week Role Responsibilities • Identify, analyze, and address risks related to Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in financial documents and digital systems. • Apply advanced knowledge of global data protection laws such as GDPR and CCPA to ensure strict compliance in all data handling practices. • Review and redact sensitive financial documents, including Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs), financial statements, and contracts, using industry-standard privacy and redaction tools. • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to establish and document robust data privacy protocols across sensitive workflows. • Evaluate document content for indirect identifiers, recognizing that PII can reside beyond the obvious, such as in proprietary processes or unique reconciliation protocols. • Provide expert recommendations to enhance data privacy controls within the customer s finance and corporate environments. Requirements • Have a minimum of hands-on experience with PII compliance in finance or corporate settings. • Possess a comprehensive understanding of data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA) and their application to financial data. • Demonstrate expertise in sensitive document handling and redaction tools. • Have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex privacy requirements into actionable practices for the customer's team. • Have experience managing workflows and protocols that involve confidential information within financial systems.
