Position Overview The purpose of this position is to support the ongoing implementation and execution of all aspects of the Data Privacy Operations Office for ISG’s client. The potential candidate should have the requisite legal and privacy background, as well as advanced analytical skills, and proficiency in various technology suites. The role will reside in the client’s Legal Department. The Data Privacy Analyst role involves operational support for the Client privacy processes and procedures. More specifically, the Analyst will work with the broader client team to receive, review, and recommend for approval, client marketing, transactional, goodwill, etc., campaigns to ensure said campaigns are compliant with clients, as well as local, state, and federal, privacy policies and regulations. The Analyst will also support PIA (Privacy Impact Assessment) reviews in support of the organization. processing of Additional support with: Asset Purchase Agreement reviews, GLBA Safeguards, Data Subject Access Requests (“DSAR”) in support of Client’s compliance with the California Consumer Protection Act (“CCPA”) and other U.S. State Laws may be part of the activities Under the direction of the client lead, the broader privacy operations team is responsible for supporting privacy policy and applicable data privacy regulations for the Client. The Data Privacy Operations Analyst should bring commitment to privacy, data, and operations together to support execution of the client processes. The right candidate must have a strong work ethic, impeccable judgement and be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Responsibilities • Working as primary point of contact for Marketing Campaign Reviews and secondary for PIAs. Receiving, reviewing, requesting additional information or documentation, and recommending, for approval, all campaigns and PIAs originating from Client’s Retail Sales & Marketing teams • Assisting with ongoing supporting of the Customer Data Privacy Operations Office with ongoing activities related to the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Client’s Privacy policies, standards and procedures in accordance with privacy laws, regulations and industry best practices and standards. • Supporting Customer Privacy & Data Management Operations • As requested, the candidate will support Data Subject Requests, including Right-to-Know, Right-to-Opt-Out of Sell, and Right-to-Delete, and ongoing analysis of client’s current privacy policies and terms and conditions. This role will also assist with customer database operations, Data Transfer Requests, marketing campaign reviews & certifications, Privacy Impact Assessments (“PIA”), and data incident management • Understanding and providing guidance around data lifecycle, data maps, retention, data destruction best practices and data governance • The resource will need the ability to interpret and understand laws, regulations, complex issues and documents • Investigating and solving problems, and providing workable recommendations and solutions • The resource will ultimately be responsible for working with global Data Owners, Compliance, IT, Legal, Purchasing, Security, and the Data Protection Officer to ensure privacy requirements are being implemented and enforced consistently throughout the organization and its operations • The candidate is required to remain current with regulatory updates, and maintain an understanding of basic compliance topics and how they affect the company. • Initiating, facilitating and promoting activities to foster data privacy awareness within the Client and related entities • Serving as a subject matter expert on global U.S. privacy and data protection laws and regulations. Interacting with global experts for additional support on global reviews • Escalating key data privacy issues accordingly • Maintaining strict confidentiality and privilege when required • Performing additional duties as required Required Skillsets • Duration: mid-February through mid-June • In Office Position – Detroit, Michigan • Minimum 3+ years of experience with legal and regulatory standards (e.g. CAN-SPAM Act, TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act, CCPA, California Privacy Rights Act (“CPRA”), General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act (“GLBA”), et al) • Experience solving privacy problems within an operations environment • Communication experience with attention to detail • Self-starter, intellectually curious and resourceful when faced with limited options • Experience acting independently across competing priorities and exercise judgment • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a timely fashion, to business leaders. • A good business acumen partnered with a dedication to compliance & legality, evidencing strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively resolve moderately complex situations and issues • Demonstrates high standards of ethical conduct, behavior, and integrity. • Demonstrates ability to operate in a highly sensitive environment ensuring protection of confidential and private information • Proactive, driven, and able to work on his/her/their own initiative • Demonstrates ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines • Demonstrates working knowledge with MS-Office suite of software applications, including: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, • Experience with Visio and Outlook is a plus • Experience with the use of MS SharePoint is a plus Education • Bachelors' degree such as Law Degree. Business, Administration, or Information Technology • Privacy certifications, such as CIPP (U.S and/or EU).
