Data Protection Advisor (Transformation) β 12 month FTC Location: Hybrid β 3 days in Milton Keynes (with occasional travel to Leighton Buzzard) + 2 days remote. Your responsibilities will include:
In this hybrid role, youβll support the Data Protection Officer in delivering expert advice and guidance across the Group. Youβll work closely with cross-functional teams β including Technology, Legal, Risk, HR, and external partners β to ensure data protection is built into everything we do.
You will also play a crucial role in supporting the operational delivery of the Second line data protection compliance framework.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for new initiatives and transformation programmes
Preparing presentations, reports, and materials for meetings and stakeholder engagement
Maintaining and updating Records of Processing Activities (ROPA) across Group Companies
Assisting in the review and improvement of operational data protection processes
Supporting data breach management, including initial assessments and documentation
Responding to a wide range of data protection queries, including individual rights, marketing, and consent
Maintaining up-to-date templates, guidance, and documentation
Supporting training and awareness initiatives across the business
Assisting with third-party and supplier due diligence
Tracking and monitoring remediation actions from compliance reviews
We are looking for someone who has:
Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a data protection, compliance, or privacy-related role
Experience working in a commercial environment (B2C or B2B)
Understanding of data protection principles and regulatory requirements
Experience with data protection operational processes (breach management, rights requests)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to explain complex privacy concepts in simple terms
Strong organizational and time management skills
