Data Quality & Governance Analyst

firstPRO is seeking a Data & Governance Analyst supports enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives by ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of critical data assets. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality data practices. Key Responsibilities - Review, analyze, and remediate fallout records generated from MDM match/merge processes - Resolve data exceptions accurately and within defined SLAs using established business rules - Validate survivorship outcomes to ensure alignment with data governance standards - Perform root cause analysis to identify and reduce recurring data issues - Execute data cleansing activities including standardization, deduplication, and data validation - Ensure data completeness and accuracy using approved tools and quality control methods - Perform bulk data updates and corrections in compliance with change management protocols - Monitor and manage data quality dashboards, reports, and exception queues - Partner with Data Governance teams, Data Stewards, and business stakeholders to resolve complex data issues - Document remediation actions and maintain audit-ready records in accordance with compliance requirements - Escalate policy-related or high-impact data issues as needed - Contribute to ongoing data quality improvement initiatives Qualifications - 2+ years of experience in Master Data Management, Data Quality, Data Governance, or related data operations - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data cleansing techniques) - Experience with MDM platforms (e.g., Informatica or similar tools) - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills - High attention to detail with the ability to interpret and apply complex business rules - Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment - Experience with match/merge or entity resolution processes - Working knowledge of SQL or data querying tools - Familiarity with data governance frameworks and metadata management - Experience working with customer or partner (party) master data Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour Benefits: - Dental insurance - Health insurance - Vision insurance Work Location: In person
