At Crossing Hurdles, we work as a referral partner. We refer candidates to Mercor that collaborates with the world’s leading AI research labs to build and train cutting-edge AI models. Organization: Mercor Position: Editors, Fact Checkers, & Data Quality Reviewers Referral Partner: Crossing Hurdles Type: Hourly Contract Compensation: $50-60/hour Location: Remote Duration: ~10 weeks (with potential extension) Commitment: 10–40 hrs/week Role Responsibilities (Training support will be provided) • Design research-style prompts that require information gathering across multiple domains. • Review and validate AI-generated responses for accuracy, completeness, and clarity. • Identify and flag ambiguities, inconsistencies, or subjective phrasing. • Provide structured, written feedback to enhance data quality and consistency. • Collaborate asynchronously with AI research teams to refine evaluation criteria and improve model reliability. • Document processes and ensure compliance with fact-checking and validation guidelines. Requirements • Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot factual errors and inconsistencies. • Skilled in cross-checking information across diverse sources and subject areas. • Excellent written communication skills with a clear, objective tone. • Proven ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment. • Background in any of the following is a plus: research assistant, academic editor, paralegal, teacher/tutor, librarian, nonprofit researcher, or compliance roles. • Access to a desktop or laptop computer (Chromebooks not supported).
