Role description
A globally leading consumer device company based in Austin, TX is looking for Data and Reporting Analyst to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design, develop, and maintain complex Tableau dashboards and reports for executive and operational stakeholders
β’ Create interactive visualizations that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and insights
β’ Establish and enforce visualization best practices and standards across the organization
β’ Optimize dashboard performance for large-scale datasets
β’ Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and prepare data for analysis
β’ Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within datasets to support business objectives
β’ Develop and maintain data models that support reporting needs
β’ Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure data quality and integrity
β’ Review data integrity and movement controls as part of ETL and data engineering processes
β’ Support API integration efforts between applications
β’ Interpret technical concepts and present key metrics and insights to non-technical stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field
β’ 3-5 years of hands-on experience with SQL and Tableau (intermediate level)
β’ 2-4 years of experience working with cloud databases such as Snowflake
β’ Experience in data analytics with the ability to identify trends and patterns
β’ Familiarity with ETL and data engineering processes
β’ Some experience with API integration between applications
β’ Basic experience in requirements analysis and project management
β’ 1-2 years of basic object-oriented programming experience
β’ Basic understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
β’ Basic knowledge of financial compliance data and reporting requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Tableau Desktop Certified Data Analyst or Tableau Server Certified Associate
β’ Experience with Python or R for data analysis
β’ Knowledge of other BI tools (Power BI, Looker, Qlik)
β’ Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies
β’ Industry experience in financial services or compliance-related environments
β’ Familiarity with data governance and security best practices
Type: Contract
Duration: 12 months with extension
Work Location: Austin, TX (hybrid)
Pay rate: $37.00 - $52.00 ph (DOE)
