Role Description This is a contract remote role for a Data Science Instructor. Primary responsibilities include designing and delivering engaging data science lessons tailored for children aged 6–16, covering introductory and advanced concepts in areas such as data analysis, machine learning, and visualizations. The instructor will guide students through practical projects, offer mentorship to foster problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and maintain an interactive virtual learning environment. Additional responsibilities include creating curriculum materials, tracking learner progress, and adapting teaching methods to suit individual learning needs. Qualifications • Strong knowledge of Data Science concepts, including data analysis, machine learning, data visualization, and related Python libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, etc.). • Experience in teaching or training, especially with young learners, and the ability to simplify complex concepts effectively. • Proficiency in curriculum design, lesson planning, and hands-on project development tailored for a diverse learner audience. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to create an engaging, nurturing, and supportive online learning environment. • Familiarity with educational tools and platforms used in virtual teaching would be an added advantage. • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Education, or a related field preferred. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setup. • Enthusiasm for working with young learners and contributing to their growth as future innovators.
